Patrick Marc Sommer is a designer, systemic consultant, and founder of Typoint. For more than 15 years, he has been developing systems for clear communication. His work combines typography, design, and strategic consulting.
He organizes the Ignite Talks, is co-author of the book Das ABC der Typografie, and regularly publishes articles for Grafikmagazin and other design publications.
He also serves on the Advisory Board of Berlin Design e.V., was co-editor of Design made in Germany for more than ten years, and initiated the conference FURE – The Future of Reading, which took place five times between 2017 and 2025.
As a juror, he has contributed to competitions and awards such as The Most Beautiful German Books, the Young Book Design Award, and the European Design Award. He also gives lectures and talks, including at the Creative Paper Conference, Forward Festival, and TYPO Berlin.
